In addition to its wide range of civil construction skills, a key component in Kolb’s ongoing success has been the ability to strategically expand and enhance its suite of services. Kolb has combined many soil stabilization techniques, including cement, lime, and fly-ash stabilization, mine grouting, and roller-compacted concrete (RCC), into its growing range of construction specialties. The result is weak, wet, or unsuitable ground treated in place and engineered into a stable, load-ready foundation.

Poor or unstable soils
Wet, soft, or unsuitable soils get treated in place with lime, cement, or fly ash, engineered into ground that holds load instead of hauled off and replaced.

Saturated subgrades are dried and moisture-conditioned to optimum, so grading and compaction stay on schedule through wet conditions.
