Turning poor soils into buildable ground

In addition to its wide range of civil construction skills, a key component in Kolb’s ongoing success has been the ability to strategically expand and enhance its suite of services. Kolb has combined many soil stabilization techniques, including cement, lime, and fly-ash stabilization, mine grouting, and roller-compacted concrete (RCC), into its growing range of construction specialties. The result is weak, wet, or unsuitable ground treated in place and engineered into a stable, load-ready foundation.

One team tests the soils, designs the mix, and treats the ground to a documented, engineered standard.

Testing & Mix Design: we sample soils, run lab analysis, and engineer the additive rate and method for your conditions.

Preparation & Pulverization: the subgrade is scarified and pulverized to depth so the treatment can blend uniformly.

Treatment & Mixing: lime, cement, or fly ash is spread and mixed in place, then moisture-conditioned to optimum.

Compaction & Verification: the treated section is compacted, tested, and documented as stable, load-ready ground.
