The Department of Energy’s Weldon Spring Site in Missouri became contaminated through processing and disposal activities from the 1940s through the 1960s, leading to construction of a 45-acre disposal facility to encapsulate the waste. Kolb Grading was awarded over eight contracts in seven years at the site, performing clearing and chipping, demolition, parking lot and haul road construction, bridge tunnel installation, linear grading, and contaminated material disposal.
